ROSE SQUARE TBILISI
| Tbilisi, Georgia | 8000 m² | 2016

Rose Square is one of the few public spaces in the city of Tbilisi, Georgia. Over the years, its character has gradually changed, but it remains a vital part of the urban structure. Framed by the Radisson Iveria Hotel and Radisson Telegraph, the new Rose Square is multifunctional: connecting the adjoining urban areas with amenities and facilities for visitors and residents. The main area, at the heart of the square, is conceived as an urban amphitheater: a forum for public activities and a place for spontaneous performances. While the area in front of the Radisson Blu Hotel is the Cour d’Honneur of the Hotel Iveria, enlivened by seasonally-changing water features. In warm Georgian summers the water features and fountains refresh visitors, and in winter the space can be transformed for ice skating.
