BREMEN KELLOGG PIER
Bremen, Germany | 12.500 m² | 2025
“Überseestadt,” one of Europe’s largest urban development projects, is taking shape in western Bremen. A new urban district spanning approximately 300 hectares is being developed on the site of the former overseas port. Part of this area is occupied by the “Überseeinsel” peninsula, home to the former production facilities of food manufacturer Kellogg’s. The comprehensive redevelopment concept envisions a dynamic, mixed-use complex along the Weser River, in close proximity to Bremen’s city center. The Kellogg’s silos, built in the 1970s, serve as an unofficial landmark and striking focal point of the waterfront development. They lend the site its distinctive identity and have now been converted into a hotel by the architecture firm DMAA.
